The OPAWF is made up of rangers like you, fighting the same issues you see on the line every day. We hear you and feel those same frustrations. This association was created by rangers to serve as a loudspeaker for our problems, to create awareness among the Ontario public, and among other firerangers. You don’t have to fight these battles alone.
YOUR EXPERIENCE MATTERS
Whether you’re grappling with second year syndrome or you’re a 10 year vet, your fire experience is what drives the AFFES. Your knowledge puts fires out and keeps the public and your coworkers safe. The OPAWF is working to retain this experience and give rangers a reason to stick around.

Ontario is a huge place. Our bases and districts span a majority of the province. We wanted to create an association to bridge that gap between us. The problems facing us today can seem insurmountable, especially with these huge distances making organizing nearly impossible. We’re here to change that.
